Latest Updates from Our Project:

What are the deluxe playmats? Doesn't the game already come with playmats?
about 3 years ago – Thu, Feb 11, 2021 at 12:08:25 PM

The standard game comes with two paper playmats: a Decks & Discards (DD) playmat where you place the nationality decks, neutral deck, bonus deck, and random event deck with a space next to each deck for discards; and a Battle Mat that we developed during the Kickstarter campaign to show which side won each turn, along with the current captured battle point levels.

The deluxe playmats are printed on thick, non-slip material like mouse pads. If you buy this add-on, the deluxe playmats will be shipped in your Kickstarter game box.

No, we are not shipping opponents with the game! (Very funny feedback)

So, in order to differentiate between the people who backed the game on Kickstarter, and people who missed the Kickstarter but wanted to buy a copy now, I used a photo of our playtester Charles Schwartz that I took at Consimworld Expo in 2019 for the image on the order form for the latter group (see photo below). Rodger MacGowan's box cover art for Kickstarter, Charles' photo for post-Kickstarter.

However, I didn't explain this, and one clever person pointed out that it looked like we are selling Charles!

OK, we are not selling Charles or any opponent you can play against (sorry solo players).

But this does teach me to more carefully select images in the future!

We love hearing from our backers! Dana Lombardy

No, we are not selling playtester Charles Schwartz. But his feedback was very helpful.

Backer surveys on the way! Check out our add-ons
about 3 years ago – Wed, Feb 10, 2021 at 11:41:33 PM

Surveys are on the way to all the backers through Backerkit, our pledge manager (not Kickstarter). We need your shipping addresses, and...

Please take a look at our add-on items. You can get a second copy of the Kickstarter game with all the unlocked stretch goals – shipping a second copy of the game to the same address in the USA is the same price as one game! (Outside the US a second game is only slightly more.)

We will have more good news soon about the solo rules, FAQs, and last-minute playtesting. Watch for updates!

Production schedule update – PLUS add-ons and pre-order store coming soon!
about 3 years ago – Thu, Jan 28, 2021 at 06:59:56 PM

We just received the US Postal rate increase for 2021 and it's good news! The increase is less than $1 more per game to ship one or more games to the same US address. We will therefore NOT increase the previous estimated shipping price to US addresses.

As soon as we receive the rate increase for addresses outside the US we can update the shipping prices for the add-ons and pre-order store. Hopefully, this information will arrive next week.

All backers will receive a survey from Backerkit (not Kickstarter) confirming your shipping address so we can send your pledge rewards as soon as they are ready. The links to the add-ons and pre-order store will be sent with the survey.

The box art proofs were approved and are now in final production (see attached image of the box top & back). The boxes require the longest time to manufacture. The printer estimates shipping them to our warehouse in early March. That means we can assemble the games (cards, play mats, etc.) and ship the games to our backers by the end of March.

We will send more updates as soon as we have them.

Thanks for your patience

The add-ons and pre-order store forms should hopefully be approved soon and links to them will be sent out as soon as we can do so.

Also, Backerkit (not Kickstarter) will send a survey later this month asking each backer to confirm their shipping address.

We are currently preparing the art files for the printer and should have updates this month on the production schedule of the game.

We are still aiming for shipping the finished games in March.
